    The market opened positive yesterday and moved with moderate volatility throughout the session and finally closed with the Sensex at 21101 with marginal gain of 21 points while the Nifty ended at 6284 with a gain of 10 points. Stocks of capital goods, metal, reality among others witnessed consistent buying and ended positive but IT stocks registered fall.

    Never bet against RBI, it can hurt you: Rajan to trade

    The market cannot dictate terms to the RBI. That’s the word coming in from the Governor Raghuram Rajan just a few days after he decided not to hike interest rates. In an exclusive chat, the Governor hints that a rate hike could be just around the corner as he asserts that the RBI is not done hiking rates. He also warns investors not to bet against the central bank. The Governor also hinted that import curbs on gold may not be lifted anytime soon. He said curbs can be lifted only if they are confident about the sustainability of the current account deficit.
