The market remained range bound throughout the session and finally closed in the positive. The investors got into some selective buying in banking, auto, reality and capital goods among others. Rupee's recovery against dollar too aided the market sentiment. The Sensex closed flat with a gain of 40 points at 20890 while the Nifty ended at 6203 gaining 14 points. The market breadth was marginally positive with 1294 stocks at BSE advancing while 1206 stocks declining.
